This study aimed to estimate the prevalence and determinants of hypertension among urban adults in Zambia, using data from the 2018 Zambia Demographic and Health Survey. The study also assessed the awareness, treatment and control of hypertension among the hypertensive population.
This study explored the impact of COVID-19 pandemic on the mental health and well-being of health workers in Zambia, using a mixed-methods approach. The study also identified the sources of stress, coping strategies, and support needs of health workers during the pandemic.
This study evaluated the effect of community-based health insurance on maternal health care utilization in rural Zambia, using a quasi-experimental design. The study compared the changes in the utilization of antenatal care, skilled birth attendance, and postnatal care between the intervention and control districts, before and after the implementation of the insurance scheme.
This study examined the prevalence and correlates of tobacco use among adolescents in Zambia, using data from the 2017 Global Youth Tobacco Survey. The study also explored the knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors of adolescents regarding tobacco use and its health consequences.
This study reviewed and synthesized the evidence on the effectiveness of mobile health (mHealth) interventions on maternal and child health outcomes in Zambia, using a systematic review and meta-analysis. The study also assessed the quality of the evidence and the factors influencing the implementation and sustainability of mHealth interventions.
